Witches Ball Samhain Celebration

Come join us for the Witches' Ball and Samhain Celebration October 27th. In a place outside of Time, we visit with our Beloved Dead and celebrate! We will feast and play, have a Witches Hat contest and, in sacred space, have the opportunity to connect w/our Beloved Dead.

The ritual will be done in the Reclaiming and Northern California
eclectic manner. However, the invocations will all be shifted towards the Freefolk worldview and core beliefs, because the trance journey to
visit our beloved dead will be done in the Freefolk style. The ritual
will include the Witches Ball, so our Ancestors and Beloved Dead can
celebrate with us.
As part of connecting w/ Them, we'll share dessert. For the potluck, we invite you to bring food of your Ancestors (or Ancestry) and also something for the dessert table. As for the Witches Hat contest.......wear your most extravagent Witches Hat! (there will be prizes).

Thermal, with the help of some of the other members, will be leading this year's ritual.
Thermal grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, where he
joined the Freefolk Pagan tradition in the early 1960’s. He wandered the U.S. for a decade or so, and finally settled in Northern California. He has studied and explored many other religions in the last half-century, and has always returned to the Freefolk way, as it is closest to his own beliefs and way of relating with the world. He is an Elder in that tradition.
The Freefolk tradition is not “out” (a publicly advertised tradition) so
you won’t find data on it in the public or social media. Thermal is currently in the process of writing several books about the Freefolk tradition, one in the final editing phase and one about
half-done.
Thermal has been a board member for the Sonoma County Pagan Network for more than a decade, and has been treasurer there for the last eight years. He is also friends with many of the people in the Northbay Reclaiming community, and often comes to their rituals.
